Filling your back yard skating rink can take up to 24 hours when using a standard garden hose. Our water truck with 2000+ gallons of water can fill your rink in less than an hour (multiple trips may be required)

How Our Rink Filling Service Works

Summary

  1. Book the rink water truck before or after your rink frame are built.
  2. You will be notified 24-48 hours prior to the rink filling day.
  3. The crew will send an “on my way” test 30-45 mins before their arrival, day of.
  4. They will fill your rink, and give you a call or send you a text to let you know they are all done.
*We fill a lot of rinks each year, in order to get the water in fast to all our other families we cannot give exact arrival times. Families that require an exact appointment time are charged a premium.

The Rink Filling Truck

We have 3 water trucks out filling rinks ranging from 1000 – 3000 gallons. During peak season we call on our fellow water truck partners help help out. All of our water truck staff are trained specifically for filling back yard skating rinks.

We have over 1km+ of fire hose so we can reach just about any back yard rink.

When To Fill A Back Yard Rink?

We want to put the water in the rink just after the liner is installed, installing the liner the same day is a best practice. We are looking for temperatures of -10 for 5 day or 10 days of -5.

When Can You Skate On A Back Yard Rink?

After filling the rink, you need to allow the ice to freeze completely. Follow us on instagram or look out for our email about our “testing the ice” information

What Does It Cost To Fill A Back Yard Rink With A Water Truck?

All our pricing is custom to the volume of your rink. Each Full load of water and a professional Toronto Rink filling technician is $500 per load.
